MEDIATION

Mediation

Pawnbrokers & Secondhand Dealers

As a trained mediator, as well as an attorney with over a decade of experience litigating and settling divorces, child custody and support proceedings, and enforcement proceedings, Christine Chester also helps couples resolve disputes outside the courtroom. Christine acts as a neutral third-party, who assists in discussing the issues at hand and reaching a resolution. The mediation process is entirely voluntary and confidential.

Divorce Mediation

Mediation has many benefits over litigation when it comes to divorce, including being much less expensive, being a environment of cooperation and resolution, being considerably less adversarial than litigation, often being faster than litigation, and it allows you to control your own destiny. At the conclusion of the mediation process, we will also prepare the Comprehensive Matrimonial Settlement Agreement and all uncontested divorce documents, and file them with the court for you.

Child Custody and Support Mediation

Unmarried partners who share children together can benefit from mediation, as well. Your children are the most important aspects of your life and only you know what they need and what is best for them. Christine helps parents work through their different perspectives and create a custom parenting plan specifically for them and their children.

Enforcement Mediation

If you already have an Agreement or Order from the court, sometimes the ex-spouse or other parent doesn’t comply with the Agreement or Order. Christine helps parties discuss the reasons for the non-compliance and helps them navigate a route to resolve the matter that is workable for both parties.
